Karina despises the regime controlling her planet. She hides specialized fighting skills to avoid government entanglements, but an encounter with veteran police chief Avyer results in a violent fight that leads her to work for the very system she loathes.

Avyer witnesses her save and help citizens - himself included - causing him to doubt everything he has ever known. More dangerously, he finds himself falling for her.

When Karina is selected for a dangerous assignment, they find themselves at a crossroads.
